Media Training... Media Ideas... Media Expertise

Multi award-winning journalist and television producer David Nolan has been providing training for broadcasters and businesses alike since 2005. He draws on nearly 35 years experience in radio and television – as both a producer and as a journalist - to help people get the best results. Whether it’s voice coaching, media training, writing workshops, programme making and production skills – David has worked with more than 500 people to help improve their media skills... on both sides of the camera.

“Experienced, flexible, engaging.  You can rely on David to deliver formidable, practical sessions to get the best out of journalists, whether they’re new to the industry or seasoned pros.  He receives consistently excellent feedback from our TV News delegates, whether it’s for courses dealing with storytelling, interviewing or writing to pictures.  If you need a fantastic all-rounder, I’d thoroughly recommend him”.  James Harrod, Manager TV News Training, BBC Academy

After a huge amount of preparation, several false starts and one missing visa confirmation letter, I headed off for the first of two trips for the BBC World Service to Moscow and Nairobi. The BBC is massively expanding its World Service operations, and several teams of trainers have been put together to train new journalistic recruits in a number of different countries - Russia and Kenya were the first of these.

I could write a book about these trips - maybe one day I will - but in the meantime here are a few pictures to give you a flavour.
