David’s training and lecturing techniques are strong and up-to-date, as he is still an active programme maker.
He recently directed several series of Crimes That Shook Britain and Crimes That Shook Australia. David won a Royal Television Society award for directing a one-off documentary on the Stephen Lawrence case and for writing, directing and presenting The Trial of Alan Morris.
During his time at ITV he wrote and directed more than 150 programmes, including the network documentary series Police! and the award-wining Strangeways prison documentary Riot.
