David is the author of 15 books – novels, biographies and true crime books. These include the ‘Manc Noir’ crime fiction series of Black Moss, The Mermaid’s Pool and The Ballad of Hanging Lees, plus music biographies on Ed Sheeran, Tony Wilson and George Michael.
I Swear I Was There, was named as one of the 50 Greatest Rock Stories of All Time by GQ magazine. His book Tell The Truth and Shame the Devil was serialised by the Daily Mail and was the basis for the multi award-winning documentary The Abuse Trial, which David also presented.
